WHAT DOES THE ADEQUATE RATING MEAN?

The program rating indicates how well a program is performing, so the public can see how effectively tax dollars are being spent.

The Adequate rating describes a program that needs to set more ambitious goals, achieve better results, improve accountability or strengthen its management practices. Adequate programs are categorized as Performing on ExpectMore.gov.

Based on our most recent assessments, 29% of Federal programs are Adequate.
